Le Tanneur stands out for its commitment to designing quality pieces, where every detail is the result of meticulous expertise and a constant quest for perfection.

Through its creations, the house celebrates the art of leather craftsmanship, combining tradition and modernity to offer products of unparalleled quality.

At Le Tanneur, we place great importance on preserving French craftsmanship.

To celebrate the craftsmanship and traditions of our country, we offer a selection of bags and leather goods entirely designed in our regions.

You will find these creations in our Madeleine, Louise, Sans Couture, and 125 collections.

These pieces, true examples of artisanal leatherwork, are made in the Pays de la Loire and require skills sourced from all over France.

For example, our Madeleine line uses drummed bull calf leather supplied by a family tannery located in Espelette, in the heart of the Basque Country.

Each Le Tanneur creation made in France embodies, in its own way, our dedication to local craftsmanship and French artistry.

Where are the other Le Tanneur pieces made?

Leather craftsmanship is an art that has traversed the ages and can be found today in all corners of the globe.

In addition to our workshops in France and our factory in Tunisia, we work closely with leather craftsmen located in Thailand, India, and China.

These partner workshops, with over forty years of collaboration, are direct contributors to leather craftsmanship expertise.

They each bring unique expertise. 100% of the leathers used for our SS24 collection are also certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG), a label responsible for evaluating tanneries worldwide.

Where are the other Le Tanneur pieces made?

They ensure the authenticity and diversity of craftsmanship within our collections.

Thanks to the talent of these various workshops, all signatories of the Le Tanneur Charter, we create quality pieces that combine aesthetics, fair pricing, and ethics.

This international collaboration allows our house to maintain high standards for each of its creations.
